Characteristics
When it comes to habitus and blossoming, 'Caucasica' can be compared to 'Rotundifolia', however, the branches grow in a bit more of an upright position. The plant can clearly be recognised by the shiny elongated leaf with a pointy tip and deep dark green colour. 'Caucasica' is extremely hardy.
Applications
'Caucasica' is suitable for large areas and broad hedges. Because it is very hardy, the cultivar can be used anywhere.
It responds well to pruning, even if pruned back to the bare wood, the plant will sprout without any problems.
If regularly pruned, it will not blossom.
