Characteristics
'Novita' is an improvement of the similar 'Rotundifolia', because the cultivar is healthier and hardier. Because of its well-known name, 'Rotundifolia' still remains one of the most traded cherry laurel. 'Novita' has a shiny dark green leaf. White blossom in clusters in April-May, followed by black berries.
Applications
The application is like that of 'Rotundifolia', but because it is hardy, it can be used anywhere. It responds well to pruning, even if pruned back to the bare wood, the plant will sprout without any problems. If regularly pruned, it will not blossom.
