Characteristics
'Rotundifolia' is by far the most well known high cultivar. With its broad habitus, it can reach heights of up until 4-5 meters. One of its characteristics is the broad, egg-shaped leaf that has a relatively light green colour, especially when it sprouts. White blossom in clusters in April-May, followed by black berries.
Applications
Because of its fast growth, 'Rotundifolia' is a popular hedge plant. However, in cold spots, there is a risk of frost damage. It responds well to pruning, even if pruned back to the bare wood, the plant will sprout without any problems.
If regularly pruned, it will not blossom.
Plant sizes
